Elizabeth Durfee
MSW
Hi, I’m Elizabeth! I am a therapist who believes healing begins with being truly seen, heard, and understood. My path to this work has been shaped by a life lived across many environments and roles. I served over five years on active duty in the US Army with an overseas deployment, and have lived on both coasts of the United States. These experiences deeply inform how I understand resilience, transition, and the impact of demanding lifestyles.
Helping people has always been a central part of who I am. It is an honor to sit with clients as they navigate some of the most difficult moments in their lives. I value honesty, authenticity, and vulnerability, and I work to create a space where clients feel safe to show up fully and without judgment.I specialize in working with military members, veterans, first responders, and their families, drawing from both lived experience and professional training in trauma and first responder mental health. I also work with individuals who feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or disconnected and are seeking clarity, relief, or meaningful change.
Clients often come to me looking to better understand what they are experiencing and why certain patterns are no longer serving them. I strive to be a steady and compassionate presence who can sit with difficult emotions and experiences, helping clients move toward growth at a pace that feels right for them.
If you are looking for a therapist who understands high stress lifestyles and values authenticity, I would be honored to work with you!
